I should have bought the X5.
Seriously, the tires spin for no good reason leaving red lights, plus it seems to REALLY like 2nd and 6th gear.

“Seriously, the tires spin for no good reason leaving red lights”
its called relaxing with your right foot.
I have a DSG and works just fine in traffic. (and yes, I have a VAG DSG...A3 TDI to be exact)

Huh. The Focii we had at a store I did deliveries for had the same issue. I’m kinda disappointed a supposedly high-end vehicle does the same.

I think it’s the DSG + 2.0 TSI combo.
There is no normal acceleration.
You either move very slowly or spin like a hooligan.

You and jkm can talk about your regrets over some brewskis.

Out of curiosity, is there a sport mode and are you using it all of the time?

Most likely.

I was mostly being coy, but I’m seeing how you really do regret it? D:

Maybe try turning it off in heavy traffic?
It took me forever to realize that my Jag defaults to second gear if sport mode is off, which made commuting in heavy traffic way more bearable once it was no longer jumping forward every time I touched the pedal.

We had an early DSG (07 A3 3.2) and it certainly took some getting used to. I found it to launch much smoother if I paused just long enough between the brake and accelerator for the clutches to engage. Otherwise, it would occasionally take off with rather a bang.

I mean you did say the same thing back in December.
